The online editor will have overall responsibility for SAIL's online content. Duties will include:
- Spearhead the migration of SAIL's existing website into the new platform
- Work with other editors to generate content and post content online
- Compile, edit, and launch monthly eNewsletter; track newsletter metrics
- Update websites on a daily and ongoing basis
- Write news stories for website as required
- Develop new features for website as required
- Take part in planning sessions
- Supervise the multimedia sections of the sites
- Assist editors in planning and executing web extensions for print magazine
- Be involved in the growth and development of SAIL's digital platform
Qualifications:
Proficiency in basic HTML, Dreamweaver, Quark Xpress, Adobe Indesign and Photoshop, MS Office, Content Management System on a large scale website. Will be required to use a MAC computer
Experience Required:
BA/BS degree required
Minimum of 2 years experience in a publishing environment or website preferred.
