Brenta 38

The Brenta 38 just oozes Italian style. The hull is carbon. The mast is carbon. More than 60 percent of the boat’s weight is in the keel bulb. And you most certainly won’t have to do much more than look cool if sailing singlehanded. The main has in-boom furling, the jib is self-tacking, and, if that’s not enough to ease the effort of sailing, all lines are controlled by an electric winch. The interior is clean. Designed much more for style than for cruising function, it offers sitting headroom and a small settee. But, who needs standing headroom with a sheer like this? And keep an eye out for a new 30-foot model. Once the sails are set, you’d better be wearing shades because the paparazzi will be hot on your trail. www.brenta38.com  B.S.
